Alkaline Fruits List
This alkaline fruits list consist of fruits that are alkaline or alkaline forming. Some fruits are acidic outside the body, mainly because of the high concentration of citric acid, but when they are metabolized by the body they are broken down leaving behind an acidic ash.
An alkaline ash consists of alkaline and acidic minerals and compounds but contain more alkaline minerals and compounds that alkalize the body.
The body works to keep the blood slightly alkaline at a 7.4 pH, and this is determined by the ratio of alkaline and acidic material in the blood.
PH stands for “potential hydrogen” and is the ability of molecules to attract hydrogen ions. When there is too much hydrogen in the blood it weakens the immune system and interferes with the proper oxygenation of the blood.
The body monitors the blood and when there is too much acidic material present the body will leach the alkaline calcium mineral from bones and put it in the blood to maintain the 7.4 pH.
This compensatory process weakens the bones and develops other health issues in the body.
Both alkaline and alkaline forming fruits alkalize the body and are needed to support homeostasis and the healthy operation of the organs and metabolic functions.
