Young & the Restless Star Joins Nola Blue Doo Run For Prostate Cancer Awareness
The 2nd annual “NOLA Bluedoo Walk/Run/Party” will take place on September 12, 2015 at 5 PM in Gibson Quad, behind Tulane University’s Gibson Hall in New Orleans. The Tulane University event helps raise awareness and money to support prostate cancer research and programs.
Young & the Restless star Christian J Le Blanc will be the celebrity grand marshal for the two-mile run or walk event that is co-hosted by Tulane Cancer Center and the New Orleans Track Club.
Christian J Le Blanc plays Michael Baldwin who has prostate cancer on the CBS daytime drama and is a graduate of Tulane University. He is working to bring awareness to a cancer that affects one in every seven of our fathers, husbands, brothers or sons. One in 36 will die of prostate cancer.
It will cost $30 for people to participate in the race, and students with a student ID pay a reduced price of $15.
A $15 Bluedoo Party Pass is also available for people who don’t want to walk or run, but want to take part in the celebration that includes, foods and drink, a tent for kids, entertainment, and a silent auction.
Participants are encouraged to wear blue, which is the official color of prostate cancer awareness.
