Unbelievable Medical Industry Recommends Neutropenic Diet Void of Raw Fruits And Vegetables

Do you know the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society recommends a neutropenic diet void of fresh fruits and vegetables ff you have lower-than-normal levels of neutrophils (a type of white cell)?

The reason behind this thinking is avoiding raw fruits and vegetables would decrease your exposure to bacteria which would be helpful if your white blood cell counts are low.

The idea behind this diet was developed in the 1960’s to isolate cancer patients from pathogens that could compromise their immune. The diet was part of a greater isolation system that consisted of putting cancer patients in plastic bubbles to to isolate them form pathogens in the air.

Fifteen years later the medical industry found out that the system didn’t offer any extra protection or benefit and the system was scrapped except for the use of the neutropenic diet.

The neutropenic diet is still practiced even though there is a lack of evidence that it actually works, and there is concerned that it may even cause harm.

Fresh fruits and vegetables offer more dietary antioxidants that protect against cancer and strengthen the immune system, because cooking them can destroy their nutrients.

“The restriction of fruits and vegetables may disrupt the delicate balance of the gut flora and increase the risk of bacterial overgrowth and translocation.

Three randomized control trials[1][2][3][4] analyzing the effects of a neutropenic diet were published and none of them supported the diet, but you can still find the diet supported by medical institutions.
