Tim Tebow Totally Made Teen Cancer Survivor’s Day
Former NFL quarterback Tim Teabow did a wonderful things by bringing 13-year-old cancer survivor Nathaniel Nelson some joy, support, and inspiration. Nelson is a patient at Wolfson Children’s Hospital and is battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Teabow paid Nelson an unexpected visit which totally took Nelson off-guard, but the visit totally welcomed. Teabow does a lot of charitable work with his Tim Teabow foundation that helps underprivileged and sick children.
Nelson is a big fan of Teabow and and Erik Dellenback, the president and executive director of Teabow’s foundation, became aware of Nelson’s battle with cancer through messages that were sent to the organization.
Dellenback passed the information onto Teabow who decided to pay Nelson a surprise visit on September 30. Once Teabow unexpectedly arrived at the hospital, surprising the staff, the nurses played along with Teabow and asked Nelson if he wold let someone take a picture of his room.
When Teabow walked in Nelson was overwhelmed with laughter and tears. It was a real tear jerking moment. Teabow and Nelson played video games together for around 40 minutes and Teabow gave Nelson some gifts. After Teabow prayed with the family, Nelson took Teabow to other floors to visit other kids.
