Self-Powered Ecocapsule Helps You Escape Economic Slavery Off-Grid
Nice Architects has developed a wind turbine and solar powered, self-sustainable, madness escaping Ecocapsule mobile home perfect for off-grid living. You can use the versatile Ecocapsule to escape the grid, or it can serve as emergency housing, a research station, or an emergency service station.
Ecocapsule Features:
The Ecocapsule was developed in Bratislava, Slovakia, and is loaded with features that address life’s necessities in style. The Ecoscapsule is 14.6 feet long by 7.4 feet wide by 8.4 feet tall. It features a 750W wind turbine! The turbine was the first thing to catch my attention. A wind turbine, wow! Along with taking advantage of wind power, the unit also takes advantage of sun power. Ecocapsule boasts a 600W 28 sq ft solar array on the roof with a 9744Wh battery capacity. Can you say no more electrical bills?
The Ecocapsule is compact but still big enough to allow two adults to sleep comfortably on its folding bed. It has a toilet, hot shower, and kitchenette with running water. Ecocapsule was designed with a spherical shape so it could easily collect rainwater and dew so its built-in water filters could provide clean water for its toilet, shower, and kitchenette. Can you say free power and water?
The unit also has a working area and dining space, an internal and external storage space, and two large openable windows. A chassis that can hitch to a car is being developed to transport the unit and will be available in late 2016.
The price has not been set for the Ecocapsule but there is an existing prototype and the Ecocapsule team is currently in producing the unit for sale. Pre-orders will be taken in the last quarter of the 2015, and the company expects to start delivering its first units in the first half of the 2016.
