Obesity Associated With Increased Risk Of Cancer

Obesity is associated with increased risk of developing cancer. This may be due insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-1, which is a cancer promoting growth hormone. Fat cells produce (IGF)-1 and the increase in obesity in the 21st century increase in obesity may also also explain the increase in cancer rates.
