Make A Wish New Hampshire Makes Seth Jones Dream Come True
On August 28, 2015 a community in Rochester New Hampshire came together to support Seth Jones’ dream. Make-A-Wish New Hampshire made 6-year-old cancer survivor Seth Jones’ dream come true, by arranging for the young cancer survivor to perform in a professional magics show in front of his community.
Make-A-Wish Foundation works to make the dreams of seriously ill children come true and it succeeded for Seth. Seth said, “I mostly see it on commercials on TV a lot,” but on Friday he would perform in a magic show in front of hundreds of his neighbors at the Rochester Opera House.
Seth suffers from Wilms disease, a cancer of the kidneys, which led to the removal of the tumor and kidney. Seth has been undergoing chemotherapy and still has to undergo several more treatments.
Seth and his family were given a police and fire escort while traveling to the show in style in a limousine. Before the magic show began, Rochester Mayor T.J. Jean made a special proclamation, “I hereby proclaim August 28, 2015, as Seth Jones Day in the city of Rochester.”
Seth and his big brother Wade then performed in their magic show with professional magician Norman Ng. Seth’s treatments are expected to last through January, and his memories of performing in a professional magic show will help him through the ordeal.
