Eat Right For Your Type, Have You Heard?

Yes I have heard of eat right for your type, but I just never believed it.

The theory is that specific foods are better for you based on your blood type. That is type A, B, O, and AB all have separate optimal diets.

I am type O and I would be classified as having a primal blood type. That means that “me man, me strong, me eat meat!”

Well I am a man and I am strong, but I don’t eat meat. The interesting thing is that as I cut out eating meat in stages throughout my life, my health got better.

The most interesting thing is that when I totally removed meat from my diet, I became my healthiest.

Basically there has been no science to support “eat right for your type”, and no historical evidence or testimonials that support the claim.

As Dr. Greger points out in the video Dr. Peter J. D’Adamo, the author of “Eat Right For Your Type” uses no scientific data to back up his point. He states that there is scientific data but he doesn’t site any research.

In 1996 Dr. Peter J. D’Adamo wrote that he was beginning the eight year of a ten year trial on reproductive cancers using a Blood Type Diets. He expressed that by the time he released the results in the next two years, he expected to make it scientifically demonstrable that Blood Type Diet plays a role in cancer remission. The results haven’t been released and it is sixteen years later.
