Apopka Police Department Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The Apopka Police Department is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and is doing so in an eye catching way. One of the department’s Dodge Nitro vehicles was given a pink facelift to support breast cancer awareness during the month of October.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and pink is its official color, and what better way to add some authority to their association by dressing up a police vehicle in pink.
The vehicle was unveiled on Friday, September 26, 2015, wrapped in a design donated by Orlando’s Dana Safety Supply. The wrap’s design featured a police shield pinned onto top of a pink ribbon. The company was able to seamlessly combine the two messages because it was no stranger when it came to wrapping police cruisers since it normally wraps the department’s vehicles.
The Apopka Police Department is also partnering with Debbie Turner’s Cancer Care and Resource Center to help raise money to support the cancer canter’s goal of providing 220 free mammograms to Apopka women.
