Alkaline Foods Support Homeostasis And Protect Against Disease
The consumption of alkaline foods is vital for supporting homeostasis of the organs and the proper functioning of metabolic processes.
Homeostasis is the process in which the body works to maintain equilibrium between body parts, and it must do this by shifting around various minerals and compounds if it doesn’t have what is needed in the correct ratio.
Different areas of the body have different pH levels, but to maintain homeostasis the body must be fed alkaline foods to maintain a pH of 7.4 in the blood (between 7.35pH and 7.4 pH).
The blood’s pH must be maintained in this range because it is the equilibrium reference point that is referred to as homeostasis.
If the blood’s pH drops below this range acute metabolic acidosis will occur and will result in shock and death, or if the level of the acidity is not so severe chronic metabolic acidosis will occur and the development of various chronic diseases depending on which areas are affected the most.
The stability of the pH in the blood determines the health of the entire body, which is determined by the amount of alkaline foods that are consumed.
If the body is not fed a constant diet of alkaline foods and is fed a diet high in acidic foods, the body will have to compensate to counteract the high concentration of acidic minerals and compounds that will enter the bloodstream.
It does this through the use of various buffering systems, and chronic buffering will end up harming others areas of the body because minerals will be removed from them to keep the blood’s pH stable.
This will end up weakening other areas of the body and lead to the development of disease.
For instance, the body will strip the alkaline calcium mineral from bones to put into the blood to counteract high levels of acidic minerals and compounds that end up in the blood, which are derived from acidic foods like meat, dairy, and processed foods.
Symptoms of chronic metabolic acidosis include: osteoporosis, weakened immune system, muscle weakness, acid reflux, low energy, candida overgrowth, and others.

What Makes Alkaline Foods Alkaline
Alkaline foods are foods that when metabolized produce minerals and compounds the have a pH above 7.0, which is the midway point in the pH scale.
7 is neutral and any number above 7 is alkaline. The higher the number the more alkaline the foods are. PH stands for “Potential Hydrogen” and is the ability of molecules to attractive hydrogen ions.
Ideally you want the blood’s pH to be around 7.4, unless you are fighting disease then you would want it to be higher for a short period of time to fight the disease.
When we don’t consume enough alkaline foods hydrogen builds up in the bloodstream and makes it acidic. This is problematic because high concentrations of hydrogen interfere with the proper oxygenation of red blood cells and also paralyzes white blood cells.
This cuts off the nutrient supply to organs, weakens the protective mucous membrane that lines the organs, and leaves them susceptible to the pathogens and toxins that proliferate in the bloodstream because they go unchecked by the paralyzed white blood cells.

Alkaline Foods
Alkaline foods are plant foods, which are high in alkaline minerals and compounds. Meat, dairy, and processed foods are acidic foods and they lead to the development of acidosis and lead to illness.
One thing we should understand is alkaline foods and acidic foods both contain alkaline and acidic minerals and compounds. The minerals and compounds in alkaline foods are balanced for alkalinity, while the minerals and compounds in acidic foods are balanced for acidity.
The body needs both alkaline and acidic compounds, but it needs them to be balanced in favor of alkalinity. Natural non-hybrid plant are alkaline and were made to have chemical affinity with the body and to support homeostasis.
