Dietary Pollutants Interfering With Normal Male Development

Male reproductive organs and normal male development are at risk to environmental hazards. Exposure to endocrine-disrupting industrial pollutants like PCB lower lowers the serum testosterone level in the blood.

Testosterone effects normal sexual functioning, development of pubic and facial hair, physical and also psychological development. Abnormally low levels of testosterone can lead to decreased ability to remember things, depression, loss of libido, low sperm count, loss of bone density, obesity, and lack of physical endurance.

In children these endocrine-disrupting pollutants can impair sexual development and result in male developing smaller penises. The compounds have pro-estrogenic effects as well as anti-testosterone effects.

These toxins are found predominantly in fish, but are also found in meat and dairy. The lowest levels of these toxins are found in a whole food plant-based diet, and the best of plant foods can be found on the Dr Sebi food list.
