Mercury In Tuna A Concern For Women Who Are Pregnant

It is suggested that children and young women eat not more than one can of tuna week, and women who are pregnant should avoid tuna entirely. A half a can of tuna could put women of child bearing age over the EPA mercury safety limit.
As humans pollute the oceans with mercury fish end up soaking up the mercury. We then in turn eat the fish who then return the poison to us. the methyl mercury (MeHg) that we poison our oceans with is a known human developmental neurotoxin that may increase the risk of heart attacks and lower IQ.
